VALBONNE, France - On Monday, Chinese firm Ocumension Technologies and French-based company Nicox confirmed A partnership in creating a new type of treatment for Glaucoma for the Chinese market.
According to the World Health Organization, glaucoma, which happens to be one of the leading causes of blindness, may spread further as people around the world start to age.
Due to this, new treatments may be deemed necessary to keep up with the times.
Currently, the known treatments for Glaucoma include Travatan from Novartis, Xalatan from Pfizer, Lumigan from Allergan, and Vyzulta, which also comes from Nicox.
The drug that will be created along for the Chjnese mraket is known as NCX 470 and is now considered in its next stage of clinical trials.
As per the contract of the two parties, Nicox will be getting up to 12% royalties from the net sales of the drug.
