BRATISLAVA, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Czech midfielder Jaromir Zmrhal's second-half goal against Michalovce on Sunday gave SK Slovan Bratislava a 2-1 win in the 15th round to extend its winning streak to seven matches in the Slovak football premiership Fortuna Liga.
SK Slovan Bratislava's Nigerian striker Ezekiel Henty opened the scoring in the 16th minute after an unsuccessful clearance.
Ten minutes later, Michalovce struck back, capitalizing on a misunderstanding between Vasil Bozhikov and the goalkeeper.
Matej Trusa could have scored minutes later but his shot ricocheted off one of the opponents and hit the goal post.
Slovan took the lead again in the 62nd minute when Zmrhal sent Henty's long center pass into the net, setting the final score to 2-1.
Also on Sunday, Trnava registered a goalless draw despite producing promising opportunities in Zlate Moravce.
"We had at least three solid chances to score today. The home team's goalkeeper was the key player in this match," admitted Trnava coach Michal Gasparik after the game.
MFK Ruzomberok left no chance to Trencin, scoring just five minutes into the game after Martin Regali's great individual effort and later cruised to a 3-0 triumph.
FC DAC 1904 Dunajska Streda, who fired coach Antal Nemeth after two defeats in a row, celebrated a 1-0 win over FK Senica under new manager, Portuguese Joao Janeiro.
Elsewhere, MSK Zilina's two-game winning streak ended with a 2-2 draw with Liptovsky Mikulas, while FK Pohronie saved themselves from the bottom of the league after beating SKF Sered 3-1.
